Google Screencast is a screen-recording app that is built into the Chrome Operating System of a Chromebook (ChromeOS 103 or later). With Screencast, educators as well as students can create, transcribe, trim, annotate, and share screen recordings for a variety of reasons. All screencasts are automatically stored in Google Drive for easy access. **Note: The Google Screencast app is only available on a Chromebook. This means that videos made with the Screencast app can only be CREATED on a Chromebook; however, videos made with the Screencast app can be VIEWED on any device.
