This pathway is a great place to start! It features four basic tasks that are fundamental to the Edge • U badge program.
Google Chrome is the most widely used internet browser. Did you know that you can sign into Chrome’s browser separately than individual programs, such as Gmail? Signing into Chrome will allow you to sync your bookmarks, extensions and more across devices, making it a seamless browsing experience.
Taking a screenshot is simply taking a picture of what is on the screen of your device, either selecting a portion of it or the entire screen. Capturing screenshots is the perfect way to create unique images, save important information or student work, and develop engaging learning materials.
Google Drive is a cloud storage and synchronization service. It is also the home for all things Google, including Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms, Drawings, Sites, Maps and more.
Incognito mode allows users to browse within Chrome without any of their browsing history, cookies and site data, or information entered in forms being saved. When using incognito mode, files that are downloaded and bookmarks that are created will be kept.
Note: Some districts may have disabled incognito mode, but it would be available if logged into Chrome on a personal Google account.
